Principal-In-Charge
Joe has over 25 years experience in the architectural field, including more than twelve as owner of Omega Architects. As principal-in-charge, he is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Omega Architects and leads the marketing efforts for the firm. Joe has experience in a wide variety of projects, including restaurants, retail, theaters, industrial, banks, offices, supermarkets, etc. He has served as lead designer on most of the projects that Omega Architects has been involved in over the last decade. Joe also has extensive training in site design, and he is always striving to ensure that the site and building function as one.
Joe purchased Omega Architects in 1996. He has used his training and common sense solutions on over one thousand projects during his career. Some of these projects include Heritage Key Villas, Campus View Recreation Facility, as well as
numerous theaters, supermarkets and dental offices.
Joe attended The University of Michigan where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture in 1981 and a Master of Architecture in 1983.
Senior Project Leader
Steve has over 25 years experience in the architectural field, including three with Omega Architects. Over the years, he has served as project leader on a wide variety of projects of various sizes and building types. In addition to project leadership, Steve is also responsible for quality control and overseeing all of the production staff. Steve uses his management skills to guide in-house staff and consultants through the design and construction document process, meeting all deadlines and milestone dates, and leading the coordination effort between all parties.
Significant projects that Steve has served as project leader include Carson City Hospital ER/OR/Lobby Additions, MOB, and Physical Therapy Building and various projects at both Helen Newberry Joy Hospital and Mary Free Bed Hospital.
Steve earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture in 1981 and a Master of Architecture in 1983 from The University of Michigan.
Job Captain
Kevin has been with Omega Architects for almost ten years. Kevin\'s responsibilities include production of construction documents, 3D CADD renderings, and in-house IT/CADD management duties. Kevin has experience in a wide variety of projects and construction types, but he is very knowledgable of, and has an abundance of experience in, both multi-family residential construction and pre-engineered metal buildings.
Kevin\'s noteworthy projects include Heritage Key Villas in Florida, Mars Hill Bible Church, Fieldstone Apartments and Condominium Development, and Mr. Burger in Hudsonville.
Kevin has attended Grand Rapids Community College and Lawrence Technological University.
Architectural Technician
Amanda utilizes her speed and accuracy on CADD to produce construction documents, as well as 3D conceptual floor plans and renderings. She has been with the company for over 3 years and has worked on a wide variety of projects, including commercial office buildings, retail, residential, and restaurants. Amanda is committed to providing excellent service to all our clients. She also assists with Omega\'s marketing effort as needed.
Amanda is recognized for her work on Addition and Renovations to Berger Chevrolet, Edgewater Office Building, Campus View Recreational Facility, and David\'s House Building #3.
Amanda is a graduate of Lawrence Technological University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree in 2005.
